The whole point of being in a group is to work with one another and feed off of the positive energy from each other. Nobody is perfect.

Long story short. I’m very tired. The VH1 was actually rescheduled to an earlier date and I never got the memo. At DJ Hero, I got to see Jay Z and lovely Beyonce. It was amazing to dance in a giant green room with Jay Z singing on a mini stage created with books.

I’m really looking forward to going to the Tournament tomorrow for Halo ODST at Sunset park. Wish me luck! Also this Saturday is Yoko’s BBQ. I can’t wait!

I’ve been feeling that calories are ruling the way I eat. As much as I hate to be one of those girls that count it, I know I do it subconsciously. I’ll eat 1/4 of a Klondike bar or a spoon full of ice cream and call it dessert. Or if i decide to be bad and eat something from McDonalds or Burger King (fast food of any sort), that would be my only meal on that day. I would then make sure I work out and eat fruit if I stay up late on that very same day. I know I can’t be anorexic since I LOVE EATING but I’m just portioning off what I’m eating if I want to loose weight every week. I want to look fit and athletic for the roles or ads I want to be qualified for. I’m a bit nervous this Friday for my audition for this VH1 commercial that would air on VH1 Latin America.

This is what it was asking for. I hope I am attractive real looking girl? I’m not sure what I’d wear to it, but I hope I get casted. Apparently it’s in LA and they include the fees for flying there and back to NY. (If I do get chosen I hope hotel fees are included) Btw the 500$ means I get paid that, but added on is every time the commercial is aired I get 10% of the 500$ as royalty fee I think. I’m sure those who know me in real life probably is wondering…aren’t you pursuing your art career as a graphic designer or design tshirts? Yeah I’m still pursuing that goal, but this is something on the side I actually wanted to do when I was younger. Am I hoping to become famous? Yes and no. It’d be great if I do, but I think it’s a fun thing to do on the side and earn money. It beats a job where I have to come in every 3 days and instead I come in whenever my schedule can fit it. My t-shirt designs are being held up, because of my budget. When I save up a bit more, I’ll be able to start selling a hand full of t-shirts. I’m also trying to finish up my portfolio website of my artworks in different medias.

Remember the last post I had. I forgot to mention the indie film that I was a bg for. It’s called “Yelling To The Sky” and you can actually look it up on IMDB! I think it’s being submitted for the Sun dance festival. I found a picture of me wearing similar outfit where I got hopefully a close up in that hallway scene.

This photo is from the set of Step Up 3D (yes Disney picked it up and because it’s the 3rd movie, why not make it 3D hahaha get it?) Those are the Adidas I’m talking about. I had everything the same except I was wearing a grey tube top that covered my stomach under the midriff black jacket. Anyway on Tuesday I went out with Keno the deno, because he had to pay for his SAG (Screen Actors Guild) fees…which I have to remind him to help get the Mac Pro account because of SAG. He had to pay via certified check, which I had no idea existed until that day. Apparently we could go to Citibank and get it for free, because we’re gold account members. That’s pretty awesome and handy to know. We then went to NEW shop we thought was adorable. It’s called “Kolache Mama” (really does remind me of cooking mama). What’s interesting about it is they make everything on top of a bread…like pizza filling on top of the middle. You can see the pictures. I don’t think I can explain it well. All I know is I LOVE the fact the sweet ones are not extremley sweet. They’re just right.

I know the logo was adorable and I had to go there! (It was the same for Kenny) The first one that you saw was mine! It is sweet cream cheese and it’s REALLY GOOD! The one Kenny had was baked apple. They have a Veggie and Meatie section as well. (i.e. breakfast sausage egg cheese, bacon egg cheese, jalapeno cheese sausage, ruffino’s texas smoked sausage, italian beef, pizza, tomato mozzerlla bazel…) They want to make it affordable too! It’s 2.99 each and 2 for 5$ I think that’s a pretty good price if they taste as good as the one I had! I think a dozen is 30$. If you guys ever want to go there it’s definately near grand central station. The address is: 45 E. 45th st. ny, ny 10017. Kenny and I were lucky that we passed by and it was kinda closed and then the owner stepped out and we talked to him in our interest. He said it opens tomorrow, but invited us in and treated us to try his products! Very nice guy. I hope he really considers opening one up around Astor. I think the NYU and Cooper students would go for this place.

Anyway Kenny took me to his favorite sandwich shop. (Which is also now mine =D) It’s called Pret! It’s an organic cafe and what’s so cool about it is everything is literally made fresh on that day and whatever they can’t sell, they donate at the end of the day they donate it to a nonprofit for homeless I believe. The sandwiches aren’t your normal ham and lettuce with mayo sandwich. The one sandwich I got had Chicken Chutney, slices of almond, basil…and I’m not sure the rest but it was amazing! Kenny and I shared half of our sandwich to have variety. He got the cream cheese and basil. The cream cheese was a thin and light spread which is really good for health conscience people. I also tried their organic Green Tea and Mango. I think the drink was 4$ and the sandwhich was around 4-6$ I’m not sure. I knew it was a bit pricey, but the next time I go by myself I think I’m willing to pay for the price… I really think you guys should try it out one day. Hopefully there is one near you if you don’t live in NYC.

Just by looking at these pictures makes me hungry. Btw on Friday the least of my worries is the Halo ODST tourny that Game Stop is hosting. The first wave of rounds is this friday at 9pm. The 2nd round is next week I think. The one on 18th and 67th? Near me is one of the locations that is actually hosting it, and their xbox is broken. I even volunteered mine if there were other people signed up. So far there is 2 as of today…

2 weeks ago, my cousin Kimberly came over for Grandma’s Birthday celebration held in Brooklyn. It was at the wee early hours in the morning to beat the Yum-Cha rush. Trust me, there were a lot of people. That day I only got 2 hours of sleep. I was flipped out of my bed by my mommy and…I was playing Cally of Duty & Uno until 6am. Don’t judge meee….I have trouble falling asleep for some reason. =\ Anyway I gave her a mini make over. I did her make up and straightened her hair. Her hair is very thick like mine and very volume-ie? LOL. We both wish we could donate that to Shelly. =]

As you can see above. What I did was use a mac primer on her face to smooth out her skin. Put liquid foundation from Revlon. Contoured her cheeks with E.L.F. bronzers (I started out with the darkest to outline the cheek to make it more defined. Then layering on top a highlighting/light bronzer to make the 3D effect. To top it off, I put blush on the apples of her cheeks). Also, it’s not showing up as much since my cousin opted not to be piled with more makeup. =D A big reason why models look piled up with A LOT of make up then necessary or even friends is because makeup doesn’t show up on film unless you over exaggerate it. For her eyes she wanted to just use a normal pencil eyeliner. I also half lined her water line. (bottom part of the eyes)

What do you girls/guys think?

>>Currently writing

Basically whatever that was written on top was already written. It feels old and I’m too lazy to edit it. I think when the time starts passing by fast, you know you’re doing something productive (hopefully) and everything done a couple of days seem like a long while ago. That could be my bad memory talking, but things that pass over a week feel like years to me sometimes. My main worries are always what is happening now and tomorrow. Bad way to do things, because I know from taking tests…I may know them then and there, but as soon as I walk out that door…it’s wiped totally clean. I’m not sure if a lot of people have that problem, but I certainly can admit that I do.

Several things happened a few days ago.

Friday

I was shuffled awake by my alarm clock (my cell phone). I maybe a nice person, but I NEED the bathroom when I’m awake to brush my teeth. There’s something about the way your mouth feels, which makes me overly anal about making sure my teeth are clean and my mouth smelling peppermint-y fresh. I rush to get my clothes that I’ve worn a couple of days ago (I’m sure you guys have done that before) and rush out to Hunter College. I was “invited” by my love-orly? sister to go for their intern party..which consisted of a large room, a projection screen, xbox 360, and rockband. Who can say no to that? (Well if I could turn back time…I would say no…)

As soon as I got on the D train, my sister texts me that she needs me to buy snacks and a large drink. The funniest thing happens when you’re on the NYC subway. It can totally feel when your most dire need to getting to a certain destination and cause a huge delay on your schedule. On the contrary, when it feels that you don’t really care about the event you’re going to…it’ll drop you off very early at your destination. The train breezed it’s way to Atlantic Avenue for me to run up the stairs and run all the way to the far transfer to the 4/5 trains. There was a slight hum, and to my delight it was the 4/5 train waiting for me. I chuckled to myself and thought if the 6 train was waiting for me at Grand Central that there is a conspiracy going on. Well I’m pretty sure you know what happened when the train was pulling up on the platform and what seemingly was waving back to me was the 6 train pulling up at the same time as mine was.

I ended up 30 minutes early with the mindset that I needed snacks and a large drink that costs under 10$ (which was my sister’s budget). Being around that area I knew not to go to Food Emporium (even though they have SUSHI!). Directly across from Food Emporium was a Walgreens = not overpriced snacks & drinks. I grabbed what was good & “healthy” (well in my opinion)…Sunchips and a big jug of ice tea. Going back into Hunter College, I found out that my sister was taking a class in Flash (a privilege you have being a professor at a college is you get to take a class for free? I think that’s it… ) I was waiting in her office for god knows how long, and ended up playing on Rockband as vocals for a good 45 minutes.

I had to pry myself away. I had until 1pm to play & rush back into Brooklyn for the EXXXotica convention that some people wanted to go to. I willingly wanted to go out of the curiosity of what happens in the con itself & the fact that someone was paying for my ticket of course. I got back to be jetted straight back out, but this time to NJ. When I walked into the convention center, I was greeted with bright pink carpet and pole dancers on high structures dancing away for dollar tips. Beautiful perfect girls roamed the carpet with their VIP passes (which meant that they were getting paid for just being there. I doubt all of them are even porn stars, but just girls wanting to make easy money without stripping). These girls had on very skimpy like bathing suits, but it wasn’t anything vulgar. It just made me more self aware about how I was going to the convention very low key looking with my draggy conservative sad look with leggings, skirt, and a baggy hoodie. I do have to admit, it made me more confident to work out more and keep eating healthier (of course with a few cheats here and there =]) to be able to look that gooooooood. What really was funny is when I saw girls on a seesaw, I thought nothing really of it…until someone pointed out there were in fact penis shaped handles for them to hold onto. Observe in exhibit A. LOL

Interesting, ne? (Ne I think is like a cute way of saying “Right?” in Japanese. I like using it sometimes.) So I did get to meet Sasha Grey, I think the youngest legal porn star that has a crazy fetish of being hurt while getting pleasure. I think it started with her boyfriend introducing new things and he broke up with her when she wanted to be hit. I think that’s a message to guys to not go too far with things or your gf might end up in the back section of the DVD places. She’s I think our age (meaning 21) and her fame exploded…allowing her to even grace American Apparel ads. When I met her, she was VERY down to earth…and all the stars except for her was wearing comfortable long sleeved shirt and normal boot cut jeans. She had the longest line for pictures even though she wasn’t wearing anything skimpy, but the dvds that she was selling of herself was extremely the opposite. A lot of the stars there posed in very sexual positions with fans in the pictures. I don’t judge on this industry…even though I don’t watch porn…I still think there’s some curiosity to it. To really know if the girls really like what they’re doing…you know thing like that or how they came to the idea of being able to do the porn industry with millions watching them.

I wish I had more pictures…but I do need to get someone to give me on their camera my picture with Sasha. By the time I got back to sleep. I had to wake up at 5am. Do you know how scary 5am looks? It looks like night still and I was getting up and feeling awful because of the lack of sleep and the coldness. I marched outside with a giant shopping back full of wardrobe change (3 outfits and 1 outfit that I am wearing) and with my high school looking backpack..I was off to Harlem. Guess what the trains did that day? I missed one train as I was walking closer to the station and within 45minutes more another came! I would understand if it was the Amtrack, but this is local trains. I took the 3 at Atlantic…which turns out to run local all the way to the last stop I had to get out at. I was late by 30minutes but luckily other people were late as well. I think there were a total of 15 paid background extras for the movie and the rest of the background were actually high school seniors who were getting community service and small scholarships from the production company.

Above are the people that I met. Right here is my fake lunch for the cafeteria scene. It was segregated purposely for this film where people with dark skin on one side and the other side were light skinned kids or white kids. The school food really looks fake though.

My real food! Baked Ziti, baked eggplants smothered in cheese with salad. Although throughout the day, my symptoms of a cold really kicked in and I had to put on a mask during set time. I had to change into all outfits for different scenes. The one scene I enjoyed, because only some other guy and I were chosen to do this scene in the hallway. I was walking across the main actress and had to do it a million times, because she messed up on her expression. Her one line was “EWE!” She’s supposed to have a change of expression when she sees these mean girls and say ewe. But she kept messing it up. I was talking to one of the PAs and we had a blast just chilling before they gave me the cue to walk across. The wardrobe girl was on set and she was taking pictures of me on her blackberry and had to run back to me a couple of times asking me where I got certain things and took a picture of my pretty Adidas. I think I should have gotten a commission Adidas! I have more to blog, but I think this is a long post as it is. Until next time cadets!

The last 2 days was extremely interesting. It all started with a phone call on Monday around 5pm while I was playing Left 4 Dead multiplayer over LIVE. When it comes to a potential job and a game, I obviously weighed in the fact that a job is much much more important. It was a music video casting director for an upcoming hip-hop group called “Icebloc” for their new single called “Count It Down.” (I found out during on set that 50 Cent is help sponsoring the group. It answered how this group was getting the financial backing to be able to rent a lounge and pay for the production of the music video) She told me how she saw me through the casting listing and loved my look, especially since they also needed a variety of ethnicity to be at the shoot. (Huge plus =]) She also made sure my hair color and style hasn’t changed from my headshot pictures on the casting profile online. I jotted down the information and was ecstatic after the conversation ended. Even though my “infected” team on Left 4 Dead lost the lead and we ended up losing that round…it was all good.

The next day, I woke up early to get my make up done and rushed to the train station. I really wished that I didn’t carry all the wardrobe-clothing stuff that they asked me to. My bag was pretty heavy on my right shoulder as I got on the train.

Here's how I looked like stepping into the train.

What I really dislike about the MTA is how the trains just know when you’re in dire need of going to a specific place, because the N train just decided to move very slowly throughout Brooklyn. Making things more worse, the N train took a detour to Dekalb Avenue and sat there for 15 minutes before getting onto the Manhattan bridge. Now the train going across the bridge should take no longer than 5-6 minutes. By that time It was already 12:25pm and the call time to be there was 12:3opm. I got my butt up and walked as fast as I could from Canal St. all the way to Bowery! I got to the Katra Lounge by 12:45. According to Google map that I traveled by foot 0.6 miles and it should take me 13 minutes. Let me tell you, the 2 minute discrepancy came from the overflowing of crowded streets of so many Asian people and old Asian people taking their time walking. =[ And I learned how to walk briskly and squish between free gaps and pull myself through the crowds.

Here's the the path from A to B on Google Maps! Just click here!

I wasn't at all worried about being late, because on set it was very messy and I had to run around to find the casting director and get the waiver sheet to sign. I then met the wardrobe director who looked through my outfits and decided that I was to wear my black dress without leggings! =X I never like wearing short things without leggings, because of mishaps of the skirt being blown up and revealing my cute underwear. I'll hopefully have a picture of my outfit, but the place was really dark and hard to take pictures with my phone. There were a lot of beautiful girls as well. They ranged from tall to short like me. Some were very skinny and some were curvy like me. =] The 3 lead girls that are being paid the most were short! YAY! If I can get to 100lbs, I think I’ll be more confident to audition for leads.

Katra Lounge

Anyway talking to a few girls, we all wished that we weren’t told to bring so many outfits. What we were thinking was it was going to be a rocky or punky music video and they could have said was a “hoochie” shoot. I think all of us would have brought better outfits. LOL Hoochie is such a funny word. The song “Count It Down” from Icebloc was being played in the lounge loud and clear. It’s pretty catchy and is a remake of a melody from the 70’s or 80’s song I believe. Of course they revamped it with their own lyrics. I also changed from my red Converse shoes to my knee ankle high slouchy black boots. They’re snuggly, but it was a pretty hot day outside while we were waiting for the lounge to be fixed up. To fast foward time, we ended up chilling at the VIP lounge which was pretty hot, because they had to turn down electricity so the alarm wouldn’t go off with the smoke when they were filming the main guys. It was 6ish when they finally fixed up the lounge and called everyone to the center of the lounge to prepare for the big scene. There were drinks being served (cherry flavored seltzer ) and flooding the dark lounge were studio lights and cameras set up at every angle. We were directed to dance to the music like it was off the hook. That we did with the drinks in our hands and interacting with other girls. It took 3 takes to finally wrap up. It was 7ish and I had to walk back to Canal and take the train. Before leaving I put on my leggings and converse and lugged back my clothing. Did I forget to mention that I got paid in cash? =]

I cannot exactly disclose to you how much I was paid because of signing the waiver but certainly not like a bijillion dollars. LOL. My calorie intake that day wasn’t a lot. There was salad on set, but I wasn’t hungry at the time even though I hadn’t had breakfast nor lunch. All I had on set was 2 small fun (when they say fun it means SMALL lol) sizes of M&M’s (One with peanuts inside and the other was original). When I got home, I decided to stop by the local Italian grocery on the corner of my block named “Florence” and picked up milk, Danon Activa yogurt (I tried this product before it hit shelves in China..and supposidly it has fiber), bag of EVERYTHING bagels (Trust me everything bagels are really good =]), Minute Maid Fruit Punch, and Philadelphia chive & onion cream cheese (YUMMY)!

“]
Extremely good! You can't even taste the fiber. They hid it damn good. =

The best veggy flavors that come together with cream cheese! Less fat too!

I’ll be honest, I know even though I eat salads every so often, it’s hard to get enough fiber into my diet. Especially since I love eating beef and all the other stuff. Eating the Dannon Activa yogurt is a great way to get fiber into my system. Also, I hardly ever buy bagels outside, because they put too much cream cheese even if I tell them to put little. How much cream cheese do I put on? I put 2 Thin layers on each side and I eat half a bagel. The other half is shared or left in the bag. According to my sister’s intel, a bagel is equivalent to 4 slices of bread without the cream cheese already. What did I have for dinner? A couple of slices of cut cucumber, yogurt, and a cup of orange juice. I did sneak half a bag of the smaller size of Teriyaki Jack’s Links as I was playing Xbox Live with my friends on COD(Call of Duty 4). Speaking…or Typing of which…? I can’t wait for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2!!! The graphics looks 100% better than before, when you call for a helicopter, you actually fly in it! blood actually splatters on your screen and you can throw knives! I found the clip below here where it shows all that! Please don’t close the video until you watch every drop of it…especially the last few seconds. ;D AMAZING!

So yes…the next day…Wednesday my lovely best friend from High School Natalya decides to reappear and grace me with her presence. I know she’s actually hard at work studying pre-med and getting sick. I’m glad that I saw her! Kenny, Natalya, and I ate at Master Cheif 2 located on Bay Parkway & 86th street in Brooklyn. Delicious Turkish cuisine, but I really think when they brought out my lamb and rice dish, the rice was too overcooked and was very hard to chew. I wish the lamb was a bit leaner too! The appetizer dips were great! Here are some pictures!

Here's Natalya and I at Master Cheif 2

That’s pretty much it. About the contest. I think I might have to revise it to make it more fair. I’ll every so often have contests for not just only make up. By the way, I actually had no foundation on, and just elf products on my eyes and my eyebrows were done with the Anastasia products. So sorry Wilson. ;D

Let’s be honest. We all cut corners when comes to certain things. As a young girl growing up, I was instilled with the idea of using inexpensive make up (drug store brands). I think it was my mother feeling better giving me money to spend on disposable cosmetics. Frankly, there are some things that are praised in the cosmetics industry that are staples of that world that come from drug store brands.

Mascara for example. L’Oreal’s Double Extend, Cover Girl’s Lash Blast & Rimmel’s Glam Eyes has been raved by many Make Up gurus from fashion runways to even youtube gurus.

Eyeshadows NYX hands down has the most pigmented colors.

Foundation The one that’s been talked about is the MAC dupe from Revlon’s liquid foundation! I have the Revlon one, but I need to get the MAC Studio Fix foundation to be able to compare. =]

The question that lies…is it worth to splurge or save? Honestly, from all the years, I don’t see it as either. It’s more like all these companies hold products that might make my life easier. No company has all colors of every step shade that you’d want. For example, there’s 2 eye shadows from Cover Girl that I’d have to mix in order to achieve this silvery blue pigment. BUT now I can save time with MAC’s shade of silver blue pigment. It really depends on you as a person what you want to do with the $$$ you make. There are a few discrepancies such as how much finer a powder is made and the ingredients. Anyway, I got packages of make up that I swatched and reviewed.

ELF COSEMTICS

ELF is a very VERY affordable company that provides animal friendly cosmetics. Here is the time consuming swatch I made of Elf’s mineral eyeshadow.

I don’t think it’s that bad quality at all. I just wish the product was more blend friendly. It’s a bit annoying after using MAC cosmetics and having the ease of blending colors…and coming to this. The longest I’ve worn their eyeshadow was 5 hours, and the pigment stayed the same as the first time I’ve placed my eyeshadow. (Also with the help of their Eyeshadow Primer)

The little smudge near the primer is the swatch. LOL I’ve tried a sample of the Primer Potion from Urban Decay and I think Urban Decay’s quality feels a bit more easier to apply on your eyelid. The ELF one, you have to rub it in a bit more. Here are the lipstick swatches.

The lipstick is fine, but I’d say mix in gloss with it. The lipstick alone is not very moisturizing.

ELF Blush and Bronzers! OMFG! I have to say they did a wonderful job on the BRONZERS. I’m in looove the quality and price! The only thing I have to say is, never NEVER add too much at once. You will streak the colors around. But if you carefully build it up, you won’t have that problem. =] The packaging for the ELF PRO is pretty neat.

Brushes!

These are the normal ELF travel pack. I don’t think the face brush is soft at all. But if you are in desperate need of saving space in your purse or traveling, this is sufficient. I like traveling light. =]

These are the brushes that I am using. Can you believe it the brushes on the left side are ELF brushes. It’s from their PRO collection and apparently the bristles are made out of anti mold or bacteria stuff? They’re soooft compared to their old stuff on the right. The bare mineral double ended brush is amazing, because the pointy side is used as an eyeliner for mineral eyeshadow. I thought it wouldn’t be precise…but I was proven wrong. =] I’m debating about getting MAC brushes, because it’s sooo expensive. I might as well buy expensive art brushes and use it. LOLOLOLOL

This flat face brush is AMAZING. It is SUPER DUPER SOFT and it’s great for blending the bronzer, blush, highlighters, concealers & foundations. I also found about it when it was a craze on youtube for the gurus to review this brush.

The ELF Kabuki face brush and body brush is Uuuuber soft. It’s made out of really soft material. It hasn’t been shedding on me yet…it’s great for any powder.

MAC Swatches =D

I also received my Sephora shipment. =D I got 30$ off because my sister had given me a 30$ gift card for my bday. I bought Brow Express (Brunette) by Anastasia…something I’ve been dying to get and also Calvin Klein Bronzer (Enhance)…and also got a free deluxe sample (I picked Lorac Hot Flash that included a blush and bronzer)…and 3 samples

I thought I was a genius when I swatched the colors on my finger. But then it looked awkward and wierd…and I finally got the idea of swatching it on tissue and paper. Hahaha….Honestly I think the bronzers look amazing! The Anastasia brow kit is wonderful! Look at the contents!

I never thought that powder would work so well!!! And if you have problems filling and shaping your eyebrows…this kit really makes it super easy with the sturdy plastic stencils included. After the kit runs out of powder, I can just get the refil, which is a bit less expensive. =O

Here are the sample’s I chose! I’ll blog about my review about using it. (Hopefully with pictures too!)

I’ve been taking Fish Oil vitamins for the Omega 3…which contributes of your hearts well being and also I heard it’s good for your skin! It’s been a week…and I take it everyday at 11pm. I do have to say my skin has been smoothing out!

CONTEST

Can you guess what I’ve applied on my face? Brand wise and what was applied. (Please leave a comment with the answer) Good luck! Winner receives bronzer! ;D

TYRA! I’m on the Friday one!

On both Wednesday and Thursday I was at the Tyra show! The studio turns out to be a block away from F.I.T. Funnier is it was actually part of the Martha Steward Studio as well. I didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I walked in and was demanded to give up my cell phone to be put away in a nifty ziplock bag with a number. I’m assuming it’s because they don’t want anyone to record the episode or take pics and leak it out. Then I was rushed into a detector…as if I was going to do anything to Tyra! We were given forms to sign our life away and swept up into a scary freight elevator. The amazing part was how the set was decorated for both days.

Wednesday The set theme was “speed dating.” I was actually given a number…#21 and people in the audience had to pick someone else that they thought was attractive and write down on a cue card 3 things to say to them. “Lucky” audience members would have their cards read by Tyra. I picked #57, he looked russian/hispanic. It’s sometimes hard to tell what nationality people are. He was kind of cute and I wrote down generic things. “I think you’re cute. The shirt you’re wearing is amazing. I hope you play the Xbox360.” I think it was the most cheesy thing I’ve written in history. Anyway the audience seating was changed to high white chairs that were accompanied by tall lounge like tables covered with red velvety cloth. It was adorned with a modern square light box accompanied by flowers in a simple blown glass vase. There were 2 glasses of juice that was meant to emote alcohol. Unfortunately I was ripped away from my company and placed in front of the stage behind Tyra on a special table. When Tyra came out, it was VERY SURREAL that I was right behind her. She looks VERY skinny compared to on TV. She uses her prompts, but not dependent on it. She’ll improvise and add her Tyra style. She does everything in ONE TAKE!!!! OMFG. The topic was basically dating online and she interviewed people who date online via webcam (and they’ve never met in person). The most interesting story was of the girl who was very voluptuous and wanted to take a good picture. Tyra got an iMac on stage and directed her how to pose. With Tyra’s advice she LOOKED AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Thursday I went with Howard to this showing. It was about HAZING! I think the funniest part was when they were trying to ask some audience if they were familiar with the term. I’m not exactly really familiar of it on Campus, but I heard about it happening in LaGuardia if you join the Korean club. Well that never really concerned me since I couldn’t even join that club, simply because that club only accepts people who are Korean (not white washed Koreans). They would initiate new members and one of them during my year was inviting Freshmen to go on a picnic on central park and the seniors dumped soy sauce and food on the freshies. The cycle never really ends, because the Freshmen grew up to punish the noobs later on. Anyway the whole show was really disappointing, because Tyra was interviewing junior highschool kids that HAZE! I got a clutch when they were giving out freebees!

It’s faux snake skin. It’s by some designer. I’ve never really heard of her.

All I know it’s free! =D You can’t complain. I think I’ll use it as a makeup clutch.

Btw Howard got this for me from Woot.com

It’s a wireless battery pack charger for the 360 controller. You can actually charge the battery pack even with it on your controller as long as it’s on the charging station plate. I’ll be blogging more about my haul 2morrow.

I’m actually content with the theme of my blog. It’s simple to look at without any crazy distracting colors.

Kind of missing the absence of having to post up a little blurb of what happening in my world. What influenced me to do so? Today I watched the movie “Julie&Julia.” It’s always amazing to watch the two characters in different centuries dealing with their life and finding a greater purpose. I don’t want to delve much into the movie so I will say that Julie decides to start a blog to document her quest to conquer Julia Child’s LARGE BOOK of French recipes for normal American women. It was fun watching how she slowly had people following her…even her boss did! If you want something fresh and oddly nostalgic…go watch it!

Recently I’ve been starting out on my diet and exercise plan. I will not be following any specific plans that are out there, but something that’s based with my own judgment. Certainly, fast food can never be gone from my diet! I think the best way is to order something at a restaurant and eat half of your plate and save the rest for later. Most places such as Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Cheesecake Factory or any similar chains…the platters are 1000 calories or more. That’s already half my calorie intake for the day.

Another thing is to never weigh yourself everyday. Your body weight will shift from hour to hour. The best is to weigh yourself every week or even 2 weeks!

Learning from past experiences, starving yourself is NOT good. But being overly full is also NOT good. What one could do is fill up on healthy foods such as vegetables and fruits. Things such as burgers or fried foods could be minimized.

Exercise is key to losing weight. What I’ve noticed about people who just rely on diet alone will have empty stretched out skin that used to contain the fat. If you combine the two, like Transformer robots or even Power Rangers that form a Megazord! You can be guaranteed a great way to loose weight!

I really can’t wait! I’ll be seeing Tyra tomorrow and the day after as well! I’ll post about it tomorrow.

Goals:

- Become 110lbs

- Make a Spartan Outfit
